I am not positive which company, I have researched so many lately, but I believe it is knight that states a mans hair could be no longer than colar length. But that was the only one that even mentioned hair length.
Other than WalMart, FedEx, and UPS, I can't think of any trucking company with a personal care policy. I know alot of them like to have their drivers look nice...but a well kept head of hair, no matter the length is always acceptable.... Personally...I'm so tired of the Telly Savales look...What ever happened to a guy with nicely combed hair, that smelled like Ga. Peach Pomade...or Brillecream...And long hair on a guy ROCKS....just sayin'
I’m with you Starcar, and glad to hear that long hair is generally not discriminated against. I’ve been working on my ponytail for 20 years and I’d hate to lose it :-). Trivial? Perhaps, but it’s the way I feel. Every time I see a truck driver with a bald head I immediately think “drone”, but maybe that’s the statement they’re trying to make.
Thanks Woody, remind me to stay away from Kinight.
Hey... What's wrong with a bald or almost bald head? Some people's hair turns gray. Mine turns loose!!!
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
No problem Jeff, but again you may want to confirm that with Knight. As I said I have looked into SEVERAL company's the last few weeks and I may have them confused. I don't want to be spreading anything that's not the truth
I drive for Knight and while my hair is over my collar, not by much, it has never been mentioned. There was one guy in my orientation group with a ponytail and he is now driving. While it may be mentioned on the we page, it doesn't appear to be an issue.

Naturally bald is different from shaved.
You might not be a drone it’s just that you look like one. Just having a little fun :-).

I sometimes wear a ballcap to create an artificial hairline.
