Your driving taxes are like any other employee based taxes...the only exception is that you can claim per diem... I think you can do a search on the internet and find out about all you need. It isn't something that TT can do a link thing for, since taxes are different in every state, and the tax laws change every year..if not more often.
Getting paid per diem means getting a portion of your salary paid to you without taxes taken out. It's technically classified as a meal and expense reimbursement.

My wife brought up a question about taxes that I wonder if anyone could answer. If the company you drive for does not have a office in the state that you reside, do you have to taxes in the state that you live in and also in the state that the company is located?
You only pay federal taxes, and any taxes in your state of residence. It doesn't matter where the company you work for is,...they get to pay their own...

Im trying to find info on filing taxes as a driver. My mom has done taxes for a company and usually does mine. Now that im a driver she doesnt know anything about how to do them and no one at the company she worked at knows either. I have no idea how taxes work and dont know where to point her. Does anyone have any info that may be able to help?
