Stopping in new Haven for the night. Boyd they need to put up more height signs on the bridges, a lot of them don't have them.
One bridge was marked13' 7".....my thought..hope I don't run over a pebble....
I dont know if its the case everywhere but in ny unmarked bridges are at least 14' northeast isnt as bad as its made out to be i have no problem hustling up anywhere from 2500-3500 miles a week
Dropped that load and got a plan for my next load, and now I have my first taste of really tight driving.
Up here in lawrence, ma. The first pick up is at a place that is in mostly residential, narrow streets lined with cars on both sides. Not enough room for the truck and cars to pass, have to go slow and ease over to let cars past going the opposite direction.
Tried entering the shipper one direction, either didn't take it wide enough or the fact that there is a telephone pole in the driveway. Had to back out, blind, into the street, head back to the interstate and go up an exit to turn around and enter the shipper from the opposite direction.
Made it here and set up for my 9am appointment, but this was definitely anot example of take it slow.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
There is a overpass in Louisville, KY near RMR. The way in is marked at 13'6" (yes I went under it). The way out is marked 12'8" (I am not that stupid).
The road is divided by a central support column. I guess choose your side carefully.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
You probably made it here by now, but canton is about ten minutes away from me. There's a rest stop on 95 north, just after before 495 ( coming from Rhode Island)
You can also park on the street at NETTTS in Pawtucket, I always see us Xpress, tmc, Werner , and few other truck company and owner ops take their breaks there
If you can brave city driving, you can take your break around my area, you'll just have a complicated way of heading back on to the highway. ( this goes for anyone) talbot Ave, Dorchester, park on the field side. Blue hill ave heading towards talbot, trucks park there often.
You'll have to drive up to franklin park, turn around up there OR take a right down Columbia road, straight down until you get on the highway ( seen trucks do both )

I second the driving at night part. As much as you can plan it that way, it's the best advice, especially once you're familiar with the area. I usually try to do that as much as possible.
