You probably won't need that. Many tractors assigned for slipseat have a flat plate with Velcro straps and hookups located on top of the dash. I'd wait to see what you are driving before going to all that trouble.
I've worked for 2 slip seat companies and both had CB's already installed in the trucks. You might not even need your radio.

A portable box enclosing a CB radio so you can easily transfer it from one truck to another with limited installations issues. Slip-seating means a driver moves in and out of multiple trucks, the opposite of having an assigned tractor.

My uncle (retired roadway driver) just gave me his galaxy DX 73v cb radio, I was thinking about making a slip seat box, any tips? Also do you need to adjust the swr each time you get in a new truck or is it only necessary if you want maximum range?
