From everything I've heard about them, they are a reputable company, and honest with their drivers...You can always go hang out at a truck stop, and find a maverick driver...and ask him how he likes his company....then you get it from someone who knows....But you never set your hopes on 1 company...put yourself out there...let them come to you...you can apply at a bunch of them here: Apply For Truck Driving Jobs..that will get you a little more to choose from.... Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
Actualloly spoke with a Maverick driver the other day. He seemed very happy with the company he said it was his first company out of CDL school and he has stayed there three years. He was in the specialized glass flatbed division. I believe he said his pay is currently is 55 cpm and he was happy with his weekly miles. Maverick trucks always look clean and well maintained and loads look secured properly.

I'm new to trucking, still in my schooling, should be getting my CDL A by the end of December 2013. I'm looking into a few different company's to hire on with and Maverick Transportation seems to be high on the list early on, I'm looking for any advice on this company from anyone out there. Thanks.
