Should Yard Dogs GOAL?

Not a trick question, just curious what you all think and why. Official policy at Swift for regular drivers is to GOAL on every back and send a freeform message "GOAL." It would follow that yard drivers should also GOAL on every back. Obviously, we don't do that (in fact, have you EVER seen a yard dog get out and look?) and it's a bit unrealistic most of the time since we have so many moves to do, but SHOULD we?

Only if you have to put an 8'6" wide trailer in a 9' hole. I've had to pull a few of those out that you guys cram in there. Drag it out far enough with the landing gear screaching on the asphalt, just to get to the CRANK!!

Hahaha I've had a few of those, mainly from people dropping adjacent trailers too far over. Man, I can't tell you how many drivers drop their trailers crooked! Drives me nuts! It also doesn't help when the lines themselves are crooked. Rumor is, the guy who painted the lines was inexperienced and didn't use proper protective gear so he got high from the fumes...and painted the lines all crooked.

We just have to wrestle with opening and closing doors. Most aren't that bad, but those rail containers SUCK!! I had one the other day where I had to stand up on the bumper and throw all my weight back away from the door to try to break the handle loose.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Better visibility of a spotter truck, means you may not have to GOAL as often as someone running a sleeper (or even a daycab).

You pretty much have a 360 degree view, and most of the ones I've driven, have some pretty wide mirrors. You GOAL when you need to - if it's tight, if you have limited visibility due objects, etc.
