Was scheduled to return from home time tomorrow, but it looks like I'll be staying home another day, lol. Oh well. Hope everybody who must shut down stays warm!
Safe drive home. I will be here tell the roads improve out to NJ.
Thank you Sir. Made it.
At least the connector bridge is open for you now if headed for the NJTP...that was a royal pain for months while it was being repaired.
Safe travels.

And they opened it a month early. I'm not going over it until it proves itself worthy lol
I was supposed to go home then said..nahhhhh lol
It's not convenient at all, the 14hr clock is a daily thing, it is able to start again after a 10hr break. I had 2 deliveries this morning in south Jersey, have one at 230 am around the corner from MetLife stadium and am supposed to head to Connecticut for final drop tomorrow. This approaching storm is in no way convenient.
Well it depends on your schedule...
Had to run to work really quick to grab some paperwork. The road crews are out, and salting like crazy. The fastest route takes me down Robert Moses Parkway, along the gorge, over the NYPA, and under the Nexus Bridge, that goes intoCanada. Usually there is a long line of trucks waiting in both directions, it was weird to see it almost empty, until you could see the wind effects blowing the snow against the bridge. That would be one helluva way to go out, by being blown into the Niagara river gorge. There was one lonely truck going really slow, from Canada side, to usa side, and you could see the van being rocked!!! I bet that driver made a quick trip to the bathroom once he pulled off. Lot's of trucks camping out at the Duty Free store parking lot, right now.
We are expected to get 12"+ between now, and Wednesday evening. So far, since it started we got about 2"
Stay safe out there!!!
Yeah, yesterday when we were going out to the store to get supplies like every 5th vehicle was a DOT truck, and all were salting. Not a good day to ride a bike! (I have past experiences, and I now that a bike + salt = trouble)...
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
Operating While Intoxicated
I just thought of something... Because of my obsession with getting overhead views of truck stops on Google Earth, Ima use the TT Tracker to see where you guys are 'round here and assume it's a truck stop!
