If you are out west, the recruiter has told me all are supposed to go through the Salt Lake City training terminal. There you will have to get your permit before you get here. By doing that you are subject to the drug screening process the doc uses that you go to.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
If you only smoked weed once, several months ago, it is VERY unlikely it would show up in a hair follicle test. Good luck

This doesn't seem to be a true statement, there is currently a girl , Kori, who has several posts on this forum who is currently training out of Springfield. I am pretty sure she is from Cali. Seems to be a case by case basis, as I had fellow students from Cali when I went through Springfield early last year.

I have yet to figure out how they send people to the terminals. I'm from NJ and they sent me to sprimo. My friend is from San Diego and he went to sprimo another friend from TX was sent to PA.
I was told if you come to prime with a CDL that you go to PA.....but that isn't necessarily true either.
CDL:
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
- Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
- Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
