I use the same ones Brett does and I treat them about the same way. Mine are way stronger. I'm running -7 and -6.5 right now. I buy a years worth for normal use and they last me 2 or 3 years.

Wow, I'm going to have to ask my eye doctor about that in a couple days when I have my annual checkup. My prescription is about the same as Brett's. I would love to be able to wear contacts again.

I wore contacts since '73. The original B&L Soft Lenses back then.

I've also abusively overworn extended wears, to the point of near cornea perforation. Doc told me I would never wear lenses again, but after a month without them - eyes healed right up (in 2000).

I had the lasik done in '03. Aside from halos for the first few months - no regrets. Still 20/20, though I use readers now - the cheep off-the-shelf ones for general reading, and a set of expensive ones for close-up detail work. Old age I guess.

DO clean your lenses as recommended. If they start to feel "gritty", check em for a new pair - they're cheap enough nowadays.

Rick
