The company that I drove for gave me a truck with a wind shield.
You can buy the TV and bracket at the terminals and have the shop install them.
There's where my confusion enters into the issue: I wasn't aware that company terminals had a "shop" available to do the install for a driver (even if it is for a fee).
Satellite radio for when I'm driving, the possibility of a refrigerator and microwave for some meals, and a TV mounted at the foot-end of my bed with the possibility of DirecTV, there aren't many comforts of home missing from that arrangement!
I think somewhere along the line these companies got smart and figured it'd be safer if they installed the bells and whistles that drivers desired, rather than let the drivers themselves go tinkering around with truck wiring.
At Prime, they have a "detail" shop dedicated to such things.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
I use my phone as a hotspot or even the WiFi at some truck stops for Roku. The truck stops sell subscriptions but if haven't found one worth it yet. So in case of no internet through my phone I have a wireless hard drive. ;). All my shows movies and music in one place to play on phone tablet or TV.
MCT I Spoke with today - i asked about amenties .. and they said you can put a fridge and microwave.. I asked about direct tv and such i believe that she said no you can't install a tv in their trucks. BUT i think she said their shop can do it ( im not 100% sure )
I DEF want a fridge and microwave. i want a tv - but its not gona be perminant mount .. i'll get a shelf/table unit to watch and just put on my bunk while driving with a blanket and bungee to hold in place while driving. amazon fire stick is on my list of things also to get - can watch pretty much anything as long as you have wifi . .. might be worth expanding your data plan or pickup your own hotspot.. Also you have to provide your own cb ... My jaw dropped when my teacher told the class that today.. lol i thought cb's were standard in trucks.
I would be surprised if 1 in 5 trucks on the road today have a cb radio. It's frustrating, they can be super handy.

You can buy a basic CB radio for $40.00 on Amazon. Almost every Tractor has a mounting plate on the dash, (or elsewhere). Very simple to connect.
Our Freightliners come with an eyeglass holder above the windshield. A couple of screws will remove it, to reveal a ready-made spot for a CB, complete with mounting hardware and pre wired for power and an antenna
I'm an owner operator at Boyd they install directv and give u a small flat screen but I put my 32 inch on there instead for 15 a week payroll deduct they install for free we have apus on all trucks u buy your own inverter they install for free if your a company driver and some trucks have Sirius xm radio built in rand mcneilys
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.
On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.
Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.

It is best to call the companies and ask. Most companies will not allow you to do anything to a truck that will make a hole in it. Remember it's not your truck. That said most companies will install just about anything you want, just ask your company shop. There is a video on YouTube where a guy had a weboost, cell phone signal extender, installed in his Prime truck at the Prime shop. As far as TV's most newer trucks come with a TV mount. People have floor to ceiling cat poles in their truck. There are many ways to store and cook food in your truck. If you truck does not have an APU or inverter, there are many 12v appliances that plug into 12v adapters. Good luck to you.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
