Errol,

I knew you were making a joke, but I wasn't sure if the cage was some sort of attempt at a legal work around. Like, why do they have booze in a cage? Also, it was my understanding that it is legal to drink during your 8+ hours off duty so long as there is no alcohol in your body when you start driving?

I like to drink in moderation to chill after a hard day's work.

I have to say I'm looking forward to my new ride at the new job. Their trucks come pretty much fully stocked, although I do have to buy the stuff that goes into the fridge.

Bud, don't make a move until you get a stocked refrigerator!

Haha actually I'll be getting a lightweight Cascadia so exactly the opposite of what I was dreaming of!

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

I'm late to this thread, but dang Bud, that post (the one w/the 2 photos) made me laugh out loud. Good show!
