Congratulations Jack!
Don't be shy, you are going to run into a lot of ups and downs trying to get this thing started. Collectively, we've seen it all, and we are willing to help. If you hit a snag, or start struggling with something give us a shout and we will help you work it out.
Showoff, they just rejected me. :P Their training looks good to me, too.
Welcome Jack, hopefully I'll see you when I get back from PSD. Salt lakes terminal is awesome. The trainers are great. They really do want you to succeed.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.

If you think the terminal in Salt Lake is nice, you will think you died and went to heaven when you see the main terminal (millennium) in Springfield or the Pittston, PA terminal. In comparison, Salt Lake is a dump, though they are working on upgrading the property.

Agreed. The swifties here were joking about a "diamond shower" with a suana steam shower and various shower heads....but we have this at prime lol. In our day spa you can buy 30 min in it for ten dollars. Add in a massage or facial for real relaxation ;)

Hello,
Just wanted to say thanks to the guys putting this information out here. After looking through your info on the different companies and schools out there I picked Prime because I like the way they run their "school" mostly from the inside of a truck and the 1 to 1 trainer/student ratio. Your site made it a lot easier to evaluate the different options and today I was accepted to begin training in Salt Lake City April 10th. So a big THANKS and I'll keep checking your site out.
Just Jack
