Have an 01 International dump truck. Engine is a C-10. My brake pedal will not raise. It stays at the floor and you have to stand on it to ingage breaks. Has anyone had this problem. Called around and was told the ec control valve was bad. Can I replace this myself. I ask this because we want fixed today. I am not the owner of the truck so I have no say in what is done.

You do have a say, park it until your company fixes it. Don't drive with an issue like that.

Under your brake pedal is a plunger that likes to collect alot of debris around it. All you can really do is make sure its clean and spray some lubricants around it like pb blaster or wd40 other than that they are in fairly difficult places to replace and would not suggest doing it yourself especially if your not in a shop
