Are you asking if you have to move out of your truck during a 34 hour reset? I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but no, you don't have to move out of your truck during a break unless your company happens to require slip seating and that you park it at a terminal so another driver can get in it.
If I reset anywhere other than my home, I stay in my truck during the reset.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Hi, everyone. I'm a 56 year old divorced lady with two grown girls. I'm currently taking care of my Dad who has Alzheimer's. When he passes, I'm going to become a trucker! I've found a good school connected with Central Texas College. I have the tuition set aside. I've researched and read, read, read. I want to drive with my beloved dog. I have a good grasp of the sleep non-schedule, the hygiene issues, proper clothing etc. I'm already studying the dmv CDL book. I'm the perfect candidate for truck driving! LOL. The thing I am confused about is this. When you are driving OTR and you get a few days break between runs do you have to pack up all your stuff and find someplace for you and your baby to stay, then repack and remove? How does this work?? My oldest is in Waco, and the youngest isn't quite finished with college so she doesn't know where she'll end up. A home base will be iffy. Any ideas or suggestions wouldbe appriciated.

Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Motor Vehicles
