Really depends on company. Some are more lenient than others.
The policy I frequently have seen are restrictions to pet weight and rarely breed. Example, no pet that weighs more than 75lb.
As soon as you pay the deposit you should be good to bring the pet. Sometimes theyll take a glance to verify that its not 75lb for example but honestly its a pretty relaxed process.
You can't bring your pet with you to training or on the road with the trainer. You can look on company web sites and talk to recruiters for company specific information. Many companies do allow pets. Good luck.

Hello, so I want to become a trucker and I am a pet lover and want to also be with me pet 24/7 - so win win. And here are Trucking companies that allow dogs , but is there a waiting period for getting the dog in your rig ? I understand there are deposits and so on, and is there anything that can disqualify you from having a pet with you?
