Just let you know I passed my road test. I was the one who stalled the engine on a uphill stop. I took the advice from here and put trust in the clutch.
The mistake I think I made was to let the clutch up all the way while I was still on the break. During my test at the same spot of the stall, that clutch was still not connecting fast enough, but I took my foot off and accelerated . It worked.
During my practice two days earlier I had NO problem. The pressure from the test made it more difficult than it had to be.
Anyway, I have a CDL now.
CONGRATS!!! That's one thing I'm going to need to practice a LOT... I drove sticks before, but I know this is gonna be COMPLETELY different with 40,000 lbs!!!
