Good deal. Just remember to listen to your instructors, they have way more experience at this than you do. But also keep in mind that they don't necessarily have all the answers.

Awesome! Best of luck Jamar!

I see you were working on our High Road Training Program this morning. Smart man!! Keep at it. Not only should you go through all of the permit stuff, but we have sections on Flatbed Securement, The Logbook Rules, and Weight and Balance which will help you understand how to load cargo, calculate fuel burnoff, distribute weight evenly amongst your axles, and all sorts of critical stuff.

You have plenty of time between now and then to get through that stuff. Trust me, if you knuckle down and work through it you're going to be so incredibly glad you did when you show up at Maverick. Everyone else is going to be cramming materials, stressing out, and struggling while you'll already know that stuff and be able to relax and focus on the driving part.

So prepare hard now while you can because once you get there you're going to hit the ground running. The information is going to come fast and furious, and the expectations of you will be high. You'll save yourself endless amount of grief by being well prepared ahead of time. It's the perfect way to get your career started in this industry.

Lastly, go through the parts that apply to you in our Truck Driver's Career Guide if you haven't already. It will really help you understand what to expect these next few months and how to deal with it all.

Keep us updated as things move along!

Hello and welcome. Excellent choice of a company to start with lol. Been here a year and they've been good to me. I'm sure you have questions so if you need to know anything I may be able to answer. Congrats on being accepted.
