That's right....there is "Jersey" which is south jersey and "north jersey" which is that horrid NYC wanna be place. I live down near Phila, so if you got on I76 across the Walt Whitman bridge...you we y right past my home area.
You're probably pretty close to our Philly terminal. It's actually in Pennsauken off Highway 130. Whenever 676 is shut down I usually take the Walt Whitman to 130 North. Otherwise it's 676 to 95 across the Betsy Ross. I got somewhat familiar with Philly and that part of NJ due to detours and construction.
And yes, I hate to admit it, but there are some nice parts to NJ.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Hahhaha. My high school is at exit 22 on 295.
To get around Philly I usually go US 322 across the commodore Barry bridge to 95, then 476, to 76. Bypasses all traffic.
The sure kill is crazy. My family owned an auto body shop and I'd send all my tow trucks there during winter. Easy money.... Crash crash crash
We'll try to top THIS! I'm currently enduring a forced reset in the lovely thriving metropolis that is Detroit. I only had 6 hours left on my 70 and they were trying to send me to Pennsylvania.. so pretty there and one of my fav mom and pop truck stops.
Aahh but it could be worse. My company leases space at the Oasis Truck Center. Decent lounges, clean showers, free WiFi, ATM, a limited sandwich selection but some places deliver. Best of all, I'm only 2 miles away from my pickup on Dix Street for Tuesday at 1100 lol. 4 miles from downtown Detroit. Hmm wonder what kinda trouble I can get into.
As crappy as Detroit is, they're really trying to clean up the place and the people I encounter are very pleasant. I love the people here. Course the one's I meet work at Chrysler and here at the Oasis. I'm sure they're grateful to just have jobs.

Definitely not as easy as the Midwest or West Coast. Everything is like a grid out there. Very easy. I used to live in Springfield, MO. Spent a little time in Michigan too. The Northeast is like freaking spaghetti with their roads.
