First, thanks GTown. For me, it's everyone. In the four plus years, I have been here I have been inspired by the many success stories. I agree, a very special thanks to Brett for starting this site and molding into what it is today. When I found this place, I devoured all I could. I read Brett's book, many of the blogs, the forums and of course the High Road Training. I still use the High Road. Old School, G-Town, Rainy, and many others have helpped me. Old School and Rainy overcame some hard and terrible trainers. Reading training diaries helpped be prepared for school, orientation and being on the road with a trainer. All the good and bad. Through all I have learned on this site, I have been prepared for and able to overcome anything that came my way. I consider everone here to be my TT family. I hope to be able to meet many of you throughout my trucking career. I hope I covered it.
That's a very tough question, lots of really great recent examples; Turtle, Reaper, Big Scott, Victor, Kori,...go back a year ago, Gladhand, Pianoman, Patrick, Tractor, Susan, and Miss Miyoshi. There are many, forgive me for those I left out.
Perhaps the best examples are the folks who got through it, had some bumps along the way, managed to prevail and find the time to give back and help others going through the same trials,...like you Rainy.
I would say I am proud of you G-Town. I probably would not have passed my CDL Road Exam today if it wasn't for what you said on my diary that woke up my mind. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Everyone here has been a huge help to me, senior members as well as rookies like myself. I've always said that almost everyone you come in contact with can teach you something. That said, Errol and G-Town's advice were invaluable to me. I joined about the time Turtle was in training and he did such a great job of presenting the process that it didn't appear as daunting as I had at first imagined. Really helped me decide to enroll in school. And then there was Kori, her positive "can do" attitude gave me a model for approaching school. It was really needed since it had been since 1985 that I last had any actual schooling. Also, thanks to Brett for this site and always being the voice of reason, and to all members, you've all been a help whether you know it or not.

There are a bunch of successful rookie stories out there. But I think I might be most impressed with FlatieC. As I remember it, she had some struggles and obstacles to overcome in the beginning. She looks like she's basically 5 foot nothing and about 95lbs soaking wet. But now she's out there taking names and burning up the highways. LOL!
Congratulations FlatieC!
