DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Do you like the Petes? The shop forman in Salt Lake said they have more issues with them than the Freightliner. I want a Pete.

I love my new Pete. I know several other drivers that have a Pete, and like me are having no real issues other than figuring out the best way to drive one of these new automated transmissions. It rides like a cadillac, nice and quiet, handles very well.

I know when I ordered this truck, I was warned about how the Pete gets such bad MPG. Well, I have be getting 8.0 or better since I've had it. So time will tell as to how bad the MPG is.

So far, no real issues other than learning the best way to operate this automated transmission.
