Also, I have a check engine light on. I'm thinking of taking a nap while I'm waiting. However, I may play with the radio.
Congratulations!
Seems like low mileage for a 16
Congrats!! Hopefully nothing serious with the truck.
Getting your first truck is one of the greatest feelings ever. Congratulations!
Hey Big Scott, fantastic! Congratulations and best of luck with it.
Thanks all. It passed inspection, but needs batteries. It's 22:36 and I'm still at the Petro. When I get done here, it's back to the terminal to sleep. I may get to meet another TTer there. He should be there around midnight.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Hey Big Scott, Congratulations!
That is some exciting news! Take things slow and easy, don't let yourself get into a rush. We all want to try to make some big money when we first get started at this, but keep in the foremost of your thoughts that you want to stay safe and not hit anything. Rushing doesn't usually get more accomplished in this business, especially for the new guys. What it will do is get us in a bind. You've done such a great job with your training, I am sure you are going to make a great truck driver. Remember, Slow and Easy for now. Later on you will get to where you can really start knocking out some big miles, but for now you just want to focus on being careful and getting there on time.
Hey Scott, in another thread you stated that some one you know gave me your phone number, but that has never happened.

6-26-17 Monday: I am now a rookie solo driver with CFI. Truck #38916. A 2016 KW T-680 auto shift with 167,039 on it. I am currently sitting at the Petro around the corner from our West Memphis terminal. My truck needs a DOT inspection. I got here around 17:00 and was told there is a four hour wait. Plus this truck has Quailcomm and we are switching to People Net. Since I started my logs on People Net, they want me on paper logs. However, I just thought I may be able to do it on my phone. We'll see. I still need to get to Joplin to get all my stuff out of storage. I'm happy to finally be in my own truck. I will take some pics after it has had a bath. That's all for now.

DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
