Ah man that sucks! You'll be in my prayers tomorrow. So you don't have to retake everything? If so, that's a nice deal. When I failed my road test the first time, I had to retake everything a few days later.
The way it works here in Iowa is you only retake the PORTION that you FAIL, NOT what you have ALREADY PASSED.
Better day today?
Never mind, I saw the other post. You'll get it tomorrow!
Better day today?
No. Not at all. I explain in my latest update on my training diary. Link is below here. Update is on Page 7.
Million Miler, a lot of us failed our first attempts at this. Put it behind you - dont drag it around with you, you're putting unnecessary pressure on yourself.
Today is a brand new day. Yesterday's failures are gone, over with, and done. They have no bearing on today.
All of us get nervous and feel the pressures you are experiencing. I'm not sure there's an effective way we can explain to you that will make it go away. I think the key is that you learn to operate within the "pressure zone."
This career has a lot of pressure involved. There are time deadlines, erratic schedules, crazy four wheelers, things going on at home that we can't help with, and often times just the isolation of being on the road gets to us. We all have to learn to discipline our minds so that we don't crack up.
You are starting to sound like you are at the "cracking up point!" Relax, put your game face on, and act like the professional you want to be.
You've got this! You just need to start believing that, and the first step to believing it is to conduct yourself that way.

Thanks for the advice and your wisdom OS. I really appreciate it. I am not going to have any coffee today and try that. Also I will keep the advice all of you all have given me runnin in my head and take it to heart. I think if I do that then I got this.
Don't have the mindset that you're trying to accomplish something difficult that you hope you can achieve. You're not. You already know how to do this. You just have to go out there and relax and do something you already know how to do for some random human being that's no different than you are. They're not trying to judge whether or not you're perfect. They just need to make sure you have at least a basic level of competence and that you have the nerve to relax and remain in control of the vehicle. That's it. Nothing more than that.
Do you know the basics of handling the vehicle?
Do you remain calm and aware of your surroundings even if you miss a shift or get into an uncertain situation?
That's about it. Calm, aware, and basically competent. No big deal.
Just Focus on the task ahead. You know what to do, just do it. Like G Town said, Focus Focus Focus

I got this today. Thanks so much Brett and Moderators! I surely appreciate. Brett, is it ok if I go ahead and change my status on here to "Company Driver in Training" or do I WAIT until after Orientation is over here at CRST? I START Orientation on Monday at 0700 CDT.
