Ok fellow truckers. Next question. What is the best GPS for trucks. I see that there's Garmin, rand mc, and tom tom and others. With my research, I see that the Garmin DEZL570lmt is a good one. Next would be the Rand TND 530LM. Also there is a few others out there. There is mixed reviews on both. I use Google maps just to get an idea on where to go but I'm done getting sent on wild goose chases with using Google maps and road I shouldn't even go down. I understand that Google maps is set up for cars. I don't mind spending a little money for a good GPS. It's worth it then paying the fine for going down the wrong road. So what's your take on this one? Oh and I also like the old fashion way too. My road atlas and maps.
Thanks everyone.
There was just a thread on this recently, check back a couple pages and you should find the answers you are looking for, good luck!!
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
The very best GPS is an accurate truck map and your mind.

Totally agree with this.

Mic drop. Perfectly said.
Here is a reason why maps are always needed.
You type in an address for a location that you've never been to. Are you really gonna trust that piece of electronics to get you there with no mistakes ? In a car, it could mean adding a few miles to your trip and some frustration. In a truck, it could mean thousands of dollars in fines and damages.
I just bought a Rand McNally TND740. I love the thing, but it has tried to bring me down some questionable areas. If you should pass your turn, it will try to get you turned around using the nearest street. Yes, even a housing sub division.
Always always always verify your route with the map. Then also verify the address using Google maps. The address given doesn't always equal the truck entrance
