Should say 20 cents per mile more.

Congratulations on getting your CDL!
Keep something in mind John, many times the CPM you see or were informed about is not rookie pay. Whenever the wording "up to" is used on a website, or by a recruiter, that number is for experienced drivers. Make sure the CPM you have in mind is a realistic first year figure, a 20cpm delta is rather large and not typical. A reasonable first year average income is about 40k with most carriers. It's also important to understand the average number of miles you can expect to run each week. If you are paid 55cpm, but are only getting 1500 per week,...a 36cpm rate for 2500 miles is a better compensation. I think you see what I am getting at...
What more do you know about either of these two companies; like "how do they train student drivers and how are you paid during training?" Not saying LTI is a bad choice, just trying to point out some additional things to think about and possibly inquire on.
Good luck.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.
Depending on the fleet I choose the least it would be is about 14 cents per mile.
As far as training they pay $450/wk, You meet several trainers and pick. Since I am a returning driver training probably it will be about 2 weeks. Supposedly their drivers average about 2500 miles depending on the fleet. And I'm told that they guarantee your pay regardless of miles based on how long you're going to be out.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

So I passed all my CDL test and have 2 primary companies to choose from LTI or Freymiller . LTI Orientation starts next week and is my first choice since they pay 20 cents a mile, and prefer their service area. Freymiller orientation does not start until 7/25. Is there any reason you wouldn't go with LTI ? Or any other thoughts?
