Ok everyone, I believe I have received an answer to my question of the original Truck Stops of America. I seem to have narrowed it down to the following truck stop locations: 1- Rochester, NY [w. Henrietta, NY] still operating as an independent truck stop 2- Binghamton, NY 3- Columbia, NJ 4- Mahwah, NJ still operating as an independent truck stop 5- Ashland, Va 6- Troutville, Va purchased by State of Va. and torn down for highway construction 7- Garysburg, NC torn down years ago for an underground fuel tank leak and contamination Thanks for everyone's time on this but I figured I would pass along this piece of history. Goodnight y'all

Good morning everyone, I am new to this forum and have a question for anyone. I am a retired 45 year veteran OTR driver who has a question on truck stops. I am trying to remember where the original Truckstops of America were located before the acquisition of the Union 76 truckstops took place. I know that they were mostly along the Eastern coast of USA. Some have been torn down like Garysburg, NC due to underground fuel tank leak, Troutville, Va purchased by State of Virginia to re-do highway construction in the area and W. Henrietta, NY [Rochester] that is still open as an Independent T/S. I wish that I could find a listing of the Union 76 truck stops, Pure Oil truck stops that preceded 76 and the Travel Ports of America that were also sold to T/A. Any help will be greatly appreciated as being retired allows a lot of time to do research. Everyone be safe, happy and prosperous out there. I miss it every day.

Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
