Just remember ANY paperwork kept in your truck can and mostly likely will be used against you.

In the US we mostly fuel at specific Pilot/FJs and the machine says elligible for fuel-n-go so no receipts. Still, i always mark 15min for fuel and 30min break on my paper log. So say On-Duty from 9:00-9:15, Off-Duty 9:15-9:45. In reality, I pulled in to TS at 9:07ish and pull out at 9:37ish. For stations that give out receipts, it will say 9:15 so looks/is legit.

I was just gonna say, receipt or not. No way are you driving for 2000 miles and not fueling then the industry needs to promote those trucks and buy them all up!!! Haha

Prime wants us to scan fuel recipts into payroll with each trip, other companies may be different.

Been driving for Prime the better part of the last 5.5 years. I can't remember when the last time I kept and scanned a fuel receipt. Never been questioned about why I don't scan my fuel receipt. They are able to pull them up from the data base should they want/need them.

But, you need to keep on top of your time going forward. I always when I estimate how long it will take me to make a run, figure my time based on 50 MPH for the run. That way should I get caught up in traffic/DOT inspection/weather/etc, I have a built in buffer to help with any delays I may have along the way.

Although I understand what you were doing, it really doesn't save time on your 70 to go off duty at a fuel stop. When waiting in line I usually log off duty sleeper until its my turn to pull up, then I will log on duty fueling and as soon as my pump shuts off and get back into the tractor I log off duty as I pull up and go into the truckstop for my reciepts and usually a pit stop and some food. Does prime require a 15 min log into on duty fueling, because I can usually get 170gal in around 6 minutes from beginning to end and that's using T-Check card. Even though you didn't get a physical ticket you may have incurred points on your personal CSA score, thats falls off after 3yrs. Happened to me in OK coming out of Texas, did not have reflective tape on my driver side mudflap as it just got replaced at loves even though, I didn't get a ticket, I still have 1 point for that

CSA:

Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA)

The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle

Prime wants one minute for every 10 gallons.

The old trio sheets wanted every fuel receipt and some of the old time trainers still use the old trip sheets and teach the students that. The newer trip sheets say "out of pocket expenses" so inncase you pay cash for reefer duento a lack of nearby fuel stop.

GREETINGS ALL,

I showed a copy of a after delivery bill ONCE to a PA. State Trooper in 2000 early morning at a temporary Weigh Station on S.B. I-79 (N. of I-70), after which, at the time, put me and the wife and the sleeper Straight truck Out Of Service for 8 hour break (old Rules) and the Officer stayed on site until time was up yet there was a Truck Stop about a half mile away but we were not allowed to move other than walking. That was my introduction to handling (hiding- ->NOT recommended) Paperwork as well using 2 Log Books (- -> Definitely NOT recommended) . There were a few times from 2013 to 2017 where I needed show proof of what I was Hauling but I was never asked about Fuel Receipts or other purchase receipts.

Other stories for other articles. CHEERS!!
