Yeah man! That thing is sweet!
Love the large-toolbox-and-no-sideskirts setup!
Na-ice!!! Really nice. Nothing like the first truck assignment. Best of luck with it!
Congratulations Wick, drive safe out there :) !
Got my truck today.
Hello Brett I was reading your book and wanted to ask, when you mentioned you were 21 and you had to back all the way on a 4 lane to get to another road, cars were zipping around you were there any accidents? That's always been my concern if I got on to the wrong road and having to back up. Also like the story about getting on the Parkway, thanks for giving that tidbit of info about Parkways are for cars only :) You're book is a wealth of information, thank you for posting the book, we can all learn from the information :)

You're quite welcome, Ken!

No, there were no accidents, fortunately. You wind up in some pretty hairy situations sometimes out there, especially as a rookie. But I shared some of the crazier ones in that book, and there were quite a few.
Trucking will test your nerve, you can be sure of that. It will test you in all sorts of ways. That's why we really celebrate anytime someone in our forum reaches their one year anniversary in trucking. It's a really big deal because there's no faking it in this industry. If you survived a year out on the road then you've accomplished something to be very proud of. We don't even need to know the particulars. We already know how tough it was.
Blue knight.
