Well Old School, since I live in the Elkhorn Mountains....
That looks very professional Pat. Nice job!
Well, today I came across another interesting name that an O/O gave to his trucking company.
Gotta be a story behind that. Must be wierd to write that guy a check.
Old School
You sure get the very interesting stories to tell. But yes it is comical to watch the late comers comedy. I also wonder who dressed have of them when disembarking their truck. Half can't figure on learning sock coordination. One guy had one of those half socks that ladies wear and the other sock was a knee high with shorts . Very comical. One white, one green. And walked right into the store without a care in the world. Oh well, I must be too old for fashion.
Raptor
I was at a TA with my trainer a few weeks ago. We were having some repairs done. When I went in to get our receipt, the technician asked me, "have you ever seen this model Freightliner before? It's a first for me." He showed me this other driver's receipt and in the make/model boxes the make said Freightliner, and the model said, "Pimpwagon". It cracked me up I must say.
Freightliner Pimpwagon is just ignorant. Everyone knows the Pimpwagon is an International.

Raptor, that's funny, and I believe it! I was at a Knight terminal once and saw a dude getting out of his truck wearing a mini skirt and 4" stiletto heels. There's three lifetimes of crazy stuff you'll see when living a transitory lifestyle like this. I'm not complaining - I love this stuff. It's all very amusing/entertaining.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Dammit, I am going to the wrong truck stops. All I see are retired couples and people walking their dogs while I'm getting my steps in around the parking lot.

I like the Zig Zag truck, especially when DOT pulls him in for an inspection and lets me go by lol.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
