Tarping is the toughest thing about flatbed work. Lumber tarps are pretty heavy and get pretty dirty. You have to work in all weather conditions so you sweat a lot in hot weather, freeze in cold weather, get soaked in the rain, etc. I like flatbed work and wouldn't want to do any other sort of trucking.

Very astute observation Bryan! I have a long list of cool places I've been to, but I'll just give you a couple of links to some of the many unique places I've posted in here about. I guess you could search my comments, but there are so many to weed through it would be more laborious than tarping a full load of lumber!

Yeah, flat-bedders do some really cool stuff, and go to some obscure and special places. It's not all fun and games though - we work hard, and play hard, but we enjoy it all.
