Old School is right. Now with Prime, Inc for example, back in the day they used to let male trainers train female drivers. But then they were hit with a lawsuit saying that a male trainer was harassing a female student. So Prime said, "Ok, we're not going to do that anymore. From now on males train males and females train females."
Well the problem was that Prime didn't have nearly enough female trainers to fill the demand for training female drivers and female drivers were put on a long waiting list - from several months to almost a year depending on the current situation.
Well then they got hit with yet another lawsuit saying that Prime wasn't giving the same priorities to females that they were to males because males would get a trainer right away and females had to wait a long time.
So now Prime has gone back to allowing male trainers to train female students, but the female student has to sign a waiver protecting the company from potential lawsuits.
Now call me crazy, but I'll bet a million bucks that within a year they'll get hit with another lawsuit preventing them from forcing anyone to sign a waiver. That's life in the good ol' USA I guess.

Svetlana, apparently some trucking companies have had sexual harassment lawsuits filed against them over this issue. The waiver is an attempt to be proactive against this sort of thing happening again. You will simply need to sign some papers at the beginning of your training stating you understand the limits and boundaries of the trainer/trainee relationship and the conduct that goes along with this professional relationship.
