Nopers on being home for thanksgiving, I don't take time off while training a student, only between students every 3 months or so, barring emergency, which a holiday certainly does not constitute. I did get myself and student our own hotel rooms last night and had quite a feast at nearby restaurant doing the buffet deal. He was quite thankful and we are now being unloaded at a WMDC in Oklahoma.

Still out with my trainer. We're dropping off a load at the Exel in Laredo, TX. then we'll see what from there. I'm pretty close to go to sleep time and my trainer and I don't much socialise, so we may not do anything tonight. Did make a video call to the family when I finished driving about an hour ago.

Made it home Tuesday night and I'm headed out again Friday morning (tomorrow)! It was so nice to be home with all the family. My first year on the road, I missed every single holiday plus my birthday, wife's birthday, and first wedding anniversary. It sucked but I knew what I signed up for so I tried to make the most of it.

To those of you who didn't make it home, thanks for keeping America moving. Truckers rock.

We got home Monday afternoon and will be home until next Wednesday. I took my paid vacation time so we good enjoy some serious time off. We have friends here and I’m getting ready to get up and start cooking, or at least get eggs boiling while the parade is on!

We’ve got plans to do all kinds of stuff while we’re home, like go to some places we’ve always to but never had the time.

As hard as you have been runnin, you NEED the time off! Anyway I miss your Vlogs though. Please make a video/vlog and let us know how your Thanksgiving went. We would love to know. Also btw yall on here need to subscribe to her. She makes GREAT vids about trucking.

Got to spend the first thanksgiving at home since I've been driving. I don't generally aim for trying to get home on holidays, but this year it just fell right into my home time cycle. Got home Monday, will be leaving tomorrow (Saturday), and if all goes right should be home again on December 23rd, so right in time for Christmas too. If it doesn't, I'm not going to sweat it, though. Wouldn't be the first Christmas I spent in the truck, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

I made it home last Saturday morning (18th) and head back out again tomorrow morning. 9 days off for 2 birthdays, an anniversary, one week of deer season and Thanksgiving.

I lucked out and made it to the delivery in Phoenix with enough time to get to the truck stop near my sister-in-law's house and met up with the family for Thanksgiving. I was only supposed to have 34 off, but one of the managers from Jurupa Valley asked if I would be willing to pick up a load that didnt deliver until Tuesday. The wallet is going to hate me come payday, but it was worth it to spend a few extra days with my wife and daughter.
