Hey Brett, you need to check out this Alpine climbing documentary on Netflix. I think it was called "Meru."

I've seen that. It's amazing. That's one of the most popular alpine documentaries out there. Pretty amazing story!

We all have some pretty cool moments in our day where we see some awesome scenery or get a chance to do something neat. I thought it would be awesome to have one thread here in the forum where we all share those moments. It doesn't have to be anything awe inspring. It doesn't have to change the world or move anyone to tears. Anytime you're thinking, "Hey, this is pretty cool!" just shoot a picture of it and share it here.

This is mine from today. I'm on Poke-O-Moonshine which is a mountain on the outskirts of the Adirondacks. It's not one of the huge ones but it's right down the road from me and I go there all the time just for a good workout and the fun of being in the mountains with my doggy.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Brett, I really would feel comfortable driving in pics #1 and 2. Climbing, not so much. But you are young, go for it!

My cool moment today was pretty much the whole day. Just enjoying the spring and the trees coming to life. Yesterday in Missouri was spectacular. Today in Illinois was great but bland.

For me, driving my truck is like being a kid in a candy store.

Had a cool experience on the road today. I was moseying along in the right lane on the interstate. Another truck comes up behind me, pulls into the passing lane and was doing one or two mph more than me. The classic turtle race. I could see cars coming up behind him, so I canceled the cruise and let him shoot by. When he passed me and pulled in front of me again, I saw an arm stick out of the driver’s window with a thumbs up. Good thing I got my new glasses, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to differentiate the thumb from the middle finger.

I remember when I got my glasses less then a year ago.. it improved my eye sight so much! Glad they're helping you as well!
