I offered my thoughts on Swift...
Couple of suggestions for you:
Start a new thread with the subject: Starting with Swift and/or searching on the diaries of:
Errol, Gladhand, Pianoman, Danielsahn, Tractor Man, Jim J, and Chris. Sorry if I left any out...
Good luck!

So this is taking care of, i have my DOT Physical for 2 years. Now back to studying for the CLP. But for me the physical was the part i was worried, you never know. But everything turned out good. I guess I am gonna stick with Swift because cant reach anyone at Rhoel, maybe its a sign. So all Swift Drivers in her, let me know about your Swift experience. I already got some awesome people her, listening and telling me about Swift. Every and all information is appreciated.
I"m not worrying about this now, but maybe someone her knows the Problem, and has a sun shine story or some nice words for me. So like i said my Girlfriend is standing 100% behind my decision and has my back. My Family on the other hand are not happy and try to talk me out of this career choice, they think if i have problems with a full time job bringing in money then i should just work 2 jobs to make it.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
CLP:
Commercial Learner's Permit
Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.
