Nobody ever feels ready for the next step. When you graduate from school you don't feel ready to try it in the real world. When you get finished with training you don't feel ready to run solo. When you're running solo at first you don't feel ready for the bigger cities and more difficult situations.
Those first 6 months of your career you're going to constantly be battling those feelings. You're going to be pushed from time to time by others, and you're going to have to push yourself continuously to get better and face the challenges head on.
But like you said - remain confident and take it one day at a time. I can assure you - nobody who truly understands the nature of the job is confident in their abilities in the beginning. If you can remain relaxed and focused and work through the challenges you face one at a time, you'll be in fine shape.
A little apprehension when driving an 80,000 pound vehicle in all kinds of traffic, weather, and terrain is good. Without the proper respect for what you're doing, a driver is entirely too dangerous.

For every new "road block" you face is one that you will get better at next time! Good Luck and keep us posted as you can! Sounds like you are doing great!
