Today I sit here at a Love’s in Wamsutter, WY on a mandatory weather shutdown and I truly have been thinking about how things have gone for me within the past year and I realize how truly thankful I am to have what I do have and to be where I am at today. I have gone from being homeless on the streets and in the woods of South Florida to restarting my career in trucking. I can’t believe I have come this far in such a short time. I owe a lot of my progress to the homeless outreach center that pushed me in the right direction to help me restart. Most of all though I owe all of y’all here at TruckingTruth for the legendary advice y’all have given me that helped me get back on the right track. I was so down when I was homeless in South Florida, I had totally forgotten how to find a job and even at one point thought about the end however y’all steered me in the right direction, kept me motivated to succeed and now I work in the greatest industry in this entire universe because without us this country would cease to function.
The point of all this is what I know is the true meaning of Christmas and that is being thankful for everything and everyone in your life. So I guess what I am trying to say here (I am not near as good with words as Brett or Old School) is be thankful for everyone and everything good in your life and make sure everyone knows you are thankful also. It will make everyone’s day. Thanks Brett for starting up this site and thanks Moderators for helping to keep it going. Also to everyone on here thanks for your service to this industry and to our country. 😁
Merry Christmas! Great success story!
Merry Christmas to you.
And a very Merry Christmas to you all.
What a fantastic story of hope. Looks like the true meaning of Christmas has been watching out for you.
Wow! I didn't know that about you. Many of us have hit rock bottom and pulled ourselves up by our boot straps. You were at your bottom with only down as you saw it. Somehow, you had a change of attitude. That got you to where you are now. We may have helped, but you did the hard stuff. Great job. Stay safe.
Your story is truly an inspiration to many. You overcome so much adversity to get where you are today. Merry Christmas.

Millionmiler, YOU are the good in this world! YOUR story gives hope to others. YOUR perspective is important and I (as well as many people you probably encounter everyday) appreciate YOU!
Be safe and THANK YOU!
MillionMiler your story is a credit to your character and an inspiration to us all.
Many people post to this forum, out of options, down on their luck, and/or trying to make a better way for themselves and families.
I book-marked this for future reference to use as a motivator for anyone in need of encouragement and reinforcement that anything is possible when you have faith and put your mind to "it".
Thank you for taking the time to post this. Safe travels...

You are so welcome, G-Town. If you remember from my diary you played a legendary role in helping me get through NADTA. If you hadn’t woken me up as you put it I wasn’t sure I would have even made it.

If I can help others and give them hope, it gives me hope also.

If I can even inspire just one person then I feel I am doing the right thing with my life and this career.

It was mostly y’all and the homeless outreach center I dealt with in South Florida that got me off of that roller coaster of bad emotions and depression. For that I thank y’all.
And a very Merry Christmas to you all.

The true essence of Christmas, God and his son Jesus played a big part in this also.

Merry Christmas to you.
Hopefully everyone had a Merry Christmas yesterday also. 😁
I read your profile bio, specifically the end of it.
I think more than anything this demonstrates the power of prayer. Always give credit where its truly do. Good job!
