Some of the guys talk about taking weights with them, and alot of them run when they can. And Brett did yoga, and its easy while in your truck..great core strengthening. I pulled a flatbed, so I got all the exercise I ever wanted !! But I also like it !! So pretty much whatever your regime for workouts at home, you should be able to make it fit in a truck...tho the treadmill is out
I know this sounds silly but look at some of the belly dancing moves. Most of those you can modify and do them while sitting down. So you can wiggle around and get your exercise while moving down the road. Running is great except with ice and snow on the ground. You don't get as far as you would like before your butt hits the ground.

Oh lawdy! If I did that, Jeff would be pulling the truck over....QUICKLY!
Thanks for the input ladies...I wanted to hear what y'all were doing. Looks like weights, planks, and push ups should do the trick. Plus I will be running our pooch so he can get his energy out also. Gotta whip that man of mine back in to shape, I'm listening to what he has been eating and I'm cringing over here lol
Hi everyone,
Free Spirit, I'd be interested to know what you do "food-wise" OT. My husband and I are beginning drivers school this next Monday. I've been looking for ways to prepare meals and stay on track with the way we've been eating for years before this decision to drive together was made...
I'd love to hear your insights on this topic. - Andrea
Hi everyone,

Hi Andrea,
I've been working on an eating plan for the last couple of months too. The goal for me is to save money as well, by not eating restaurant or fast food. Jay and I bought a "lunch box cooker" for about $25. It gets up to 300 degrees. I have made casseroles for two, heat up burritos, cans of soup, chili, made scrambles eggs... I love this thing. I'm trying to link a pic so cross your fingers... http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/r671/jana_turner1/Facebook/Mobile%20Uploads/1525490_10152381097522224_1293906600_n.jpg
We also have a cooler with a drain. We by 3 days worth of food at a time. Sandwiches to go with the soup and yogurt for snacks. Healthy choices are easier if you can pop into a grocery. I LOVE SALAD! Easy Easy Easy and so good!
For exercise (aside from the obvious stuff like walking), Jay and I thought that a baseball and gloves would be a fun way to pass the time while waiting to be loaded. I've been on the road for 7 weeks so let me know if you need more specific info!
Driving While Intoxicated
Jana, your "lunchbox" is called a Burton cooker...and we went thru a few of those...loved em !!! I would cook roasts in them, with taters, and carrots !!! And I made oatmeal almost every morning...Oatmeal is really good for you, and its easy to make...but I sure missed my toast to go with it.....

Do any of you ladies have a diet & exercise regiment. I'm not as concerned with healthy eating ( I got that part) as I am with exercising OTR. What are some ways to keep fit? Thank you.
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
