Who do you drive for

I drive for UsXpress. I'm not so much nervous about driving. More so about the training itself: Am I going to be able to learn quickly enough, am I going to frustrate my trainer if I don't, etc.

I hear ya. No worries though. Training will be over with before ya know it. Just stay safe out there and while doing so learn as much as you can and then focus on that day when you get your own truck and get through this. Keep that goal in mind, remind yourself why you are doin this and surely it will hopefully become easier for ya to get through trainin.

One thing I believe most trainers and drivers will agree with.

It's not about the speed you complete the task, it's about completing the task safely.

I've had rough nights after a full day where a simple parking job took me a few more tries than I'd care to admit. When you feel that frustration building..Stop..Breath, and re-evaluate the situation and what you need to do. I'd rather see a driver take 5 minutes to dock successfully, than rush into the side of another trailer/building(seen it!).

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Same here.

Congrats on becoming a Lead driver Million Miler.

I will be upgrading my first student for Swift tomorrow or early Thursday. This will make number 13 for me.

Training is a rewarding job, but definitely challenging. You will question your sanity when you are doing backing maneuvers in -6 weather lol.

There are two things to keep in mind. First, remember how you felt and that not everyone has had the benefit of TT. They have heard the horror stories but not as much of the good.

Second is to keep everything as clear as possible. What are the expectations, goals, etc. This helps put the student at ease because they know what to expect. They also know what success and failure looks like.
