Thank you all for the information! I do truly appreciate all this and it is definetly making my decision easier on what company to go with. I have a friend who is a flat bedder in a different company who is helping some, but since he has never worked for Prime I like to get that information from those who work there.

One thing he is worried about for me is being pressured into Lease either by constant asking and/or reducing miles. I tried to tell him that by my research that isn't an issue but he is still unsure.

Take care and drive safe!

You will NEVER be pressured into leasing. you will be asked if you want to go company or lease to determine your fleet manager. the "Pressure" is more informational promotions that go out to everyone about new features or changes to leasing (bonus options, truck features, etc). lease ops seem to try to talk company drivers into going lease even thouvh most never were company drivers and have no clue about the income potential or procedures.

Your company driver fleet manager is commisioned off your loads. they do not want good drivers going lease and losing that money.

Fleet Manager:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
