Yes I do realize that they do. That is why I have looked at a few different companies because each one has different requirements. I have also have talked with several recruiters and have been totally honest about my disability. I know that it's not their decision but I know that there is a good chance that they might say no. It's a hurdle that I hopefully can cross. I have been jumping hurdles all my life and sometimes I land on my butt! I always get up and try again. Sometimes it's not meant to be and you have to take another path.

Well I am happy to say I passed my CDL written test and received my permit. Will be heading to swift training in Memphis on Sunday. Super excited and nervous all at the same time.

  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.

It's been awhile since I've been on here. It's been crazy the last couple of months. I went to one school and got sent home due to a technicalty on my physical being a box was not checked. They gave me another physical and after 2 hrs discussion with Dr they did not pass me. So went home and got my box checked on my original physical and went to another school. I passed my school and obtain my CDL license on the first try. Got a job with a company and spent 2 weeks with a trainer and now have been driving my own truck for a week. I'm really glad that I was born sturbon and didn't throw in the towel at the first no.
