Rand Mcnally Cuts Thru Back Roads How To Avoid That?

I don't know the finger points of a RM GPS, but have you looked at the routing choices? (These choices include Avoiding Toll Roads, Ferries, etc.) There should be a choice like between FASTEST and SHORTEST routing.
Settings>Routing Options>Prefer Interstate.
Interstate:
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

My Randmcnally always short cuts me thru back roads and sometimes it can be a pain i want to stay on interstate all thru the way until I really have to get on a back road how do I avoid that?
