I learned to drive on a work van with only side mirrors. When I started driving not all cars had mirrors on the passenger side. I had trouble driving them. I have driven cars with backup cameras and hate them. The view is not good enough for me. My aunt, who is in her 80's, recently told me she rarely uses hers and hates when she has to. She has to because she can't always turn her neck or body enough to see.

Backing a truck is very different, you have to be hyper aware of your surroundings, what your trailer is doing, and more. I also, think the camera would be a distraction. I might like a blind side camera, however, with 3 mirrors on each side I have only a tiny blind spot outside the view of my mirrors. My $0.02

Any true professional driver would have done what I did. Any doubt at all.. get out and look. We don't need backup cameras.. those are for inattentive fcktards that should probably not be behind the wheel of any vehicle, no matter how many axles it has.

Of like mind.

Susan if I was ever to make the mistake and buy a small fleet of trucks, you'd be one of the first drivers I'd recruit. Said tongue in cheek, but I'm sure you get my point. You are the consummate professional...a student of your craft.

Great reply; *like !!!
