Are u currently in school? Downshiftting your spot on, i always get RPMS down to about 1200 when downshifting and rev it up. I remember having trouble finding that sweet spot to pop it in at first. Pull ups per maneuver depend on state your in. In Iowa I was tested on straight line, parallel and driver side offset. Straight line I can't remember if I was allowed any pull ups or G.O.A.L. but the other 2 I was allowed 2 pull ups and 2 G.O.A.L. anything more than that was 2 points, crossing a boundary was 2 points, and if I hit a cone it was 10 points. 12 points and Its a fail. As I said though, each state is different and sometimes different testers score differently. There was a member here named Ithel that attended TMC school and was scored differently in the same state.

Hey everybody. Well I am on the way. Have my medical card (actually just a piece of paper) and I have my permit. The question is.....When backing up (straight line, 90 degree or getting into the next lane). How many times can I pull up to re position the trailer?? Also any tips on downshifting would be nice. I always forget the rev. So its clutch, neutral, Rev, clutch, gear. It s not like truckers do it that way.
