Need someone to allow me to run with them for few weeks i have permit can drive just want sharpen skills so i can rent truck so i can take test and get cdl cant get hired with just permit can u plz help me im male 46 yrs old

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Yo welcome to the forum. Unfortunately what you are asking is not really doable by any company drivers and not advisable anyway. What you will find is that most reputable companies will want you to have either company training or a school certificate with 160hrs behind the wheel. Someone should hop on here and provide some links soon. There are several ways to go about getting your cdl depending on your situation so fill us in.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

George you are doing this the hard way. It's going to be next to impossible to get a job without a training certificate indicating 160 hours of training from a Truck Driving School or a Paid CDL Training Program.
