Yeah as they brought the signs on they covered those signs. I don’t know about other states but GA claims to discontinue the service it has to be statewide. I think they covered them for that very reason, not to confuse folks. I haven’t been down south in over a year so I don’t know if they got all the scale houses finished yet or not. From what I understand those lighted signs and the infastructure for them are pricey.
Rainey I don’t know what to make of your AZ experience. I had an issue many years ago with AZ DOT and lets just say the young fella was inaccurate. I wasn’t in a CMV I was in a pickup pulling an enclosed race car hauler and he stopped me because I didn’t go into the scale. We had a nice roadside chat with his supervisor and he learned a valuable lesson. But in your case I would gladly take the butt chewing instead of chancing it. It sure seems different states have different expecations that is for sure. MS has mostly all lighted signs now I’ll stop by next time through and ask what their preference is.

All the scale houses I've passed in GA used to have "PrePass Site" signs displayed prior to the exit. Those signs have been covered over for more than a year.
