Hey that's awesome! Congrats!
I would jump on our High Road CDL Training Program and hit two sections hard while you have a few days to prepare:
Those two sections are critical to know in order to do your job out there. The more you can learn now, the better off you'll be.
Best of luck!
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A written or electronic record of a driver's duty status which must be maintained at all times. The driver records the amount of time spent driving, on-duty not driving, in the sleeper berth, or off duty. The enforcement of the Hours Of Service Rules (HOS) are based upon the entries put in a driver's logbook.
Congratulations Simon!
The other day you were headed to Western Express - I guess things have changed. I haven't noticed you saying anything about wanting to be a team driver, but I'm assuming you must be okay with it.
Be careful, and do a great job. You need to really work hard at establishing yourself. You are pretty fortunate at this point, but you've got to work on keeping that driving/safety record clean. If you need some help or advice while trying to get established over there, don't be shy - we will do whatever we can to help you.
Congratulations to you and be safe on your new journey. I to am leaving tomorrow for school before orientation after that. Good luck and let us know how things are going.
