I’m assuming you are using big rigs eld application. It works somewhat the same, given you have a data plan, besides that you have to manually set your duty statuses, city’s and so in
I have Big Road. It works pretty much the same no big deal as long as you don’t lose your phone, lol
I used Keep Trucking when I got my truck and couldn't use the ELD in the truck at first. What company do you work for? If they equip the truck with an ELD device like Qualcomm , why do you need an app?

Small company...they don't used Qualcomm.. expensive for company..
I have used Keep Truckin and Big Road. Keep truckin has far fewer glitches in my opinion. I had keep truckin before the mandate and my boss choose big road. But I am hopeful they will change
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

My wife is a dispatcher for a small OTR company. Her drivers use KeepTrucking. She recommends it.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Qualcomm:
Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.
