59,000 LBS raw milk to Fleur De Lait.
Just delivered the last load from WM DC in Williamsburg, VA to a Sam's DC in Taylor, PA. 30,520 lbs in the trailer, 450 total miles.
I don't actually know what was in the box.. it was preloaded and sealed. I picked it up in Ankeny, IA at Toro and delivered it 16 hours early to Buffalo/Tonawanda NY. It was packed in 14 large wooden crates so I still have no clue what I hauled. I'm thinking larger garden tractors because we can usually fit 24 riding mowers in a trailer.. 114 empty miles and 848 loaded miles.
Oh yeah and it was light.. about 24,000 pounds. So 2k each.
25830 lbs fresh beef in a 40 ft container, from National Beef in Dodge City, KS. 1554 miles to TraPac Port in Oakland, Calif.
Chicago to LA 8200 lbs to Wayfair so household stuff.
Now LA to Dallas 25k lb Fedex Ground FAK
Just delivered a relay loaded trailer from New Kingston, PA terminal to Elkhart, IN. 42,503 lbs of plywood for 568 total miles. Long day on four hours sleep.....yawn!
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
