Most of what is in the XPO description is what CFI offers. However, CFI has raised pay since then. For school all travel, room and meals are paid for. You are paid $100.00 for four days of orientation. While out with a trainer you are paid 26 CPM plus all extra pays. (Northeast, detention, extra stop, etc) Once you upgrade you are paid 33 CPM, at 60,000 miles you go to 35 CPM at 90,000 miles you go to 37 CPM at 120,000 miles you go to 40 CPM. You still may be able to find other companies that will train you. Good luck.
Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.
Veriha Trucking is one that offers their own training. From what I see and hear from their drivers, they are a good outfit.
There are a handful of local companies that offer training. Of course, it's based on their needs and it'll usually end up being a local p&d gig. Saia, FedEx Freight and Estes all have dock to driver programs. The only issue is that you may just end up on the board with limited opportunities to go out. Some of the LTL companies also require a year of dock work before allowing you to take part in their program. Again, it's based on immediate needs. Lastly, local p&d is tough especially for your first year. I see the guys from FedEx Freight and US foods all the time and just watching them is exhausting. Not to mention the increased possibly of an accident because of all the city driving and tight parking lots.
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.
LTL carriers include:
Local drivers that stay around their area, usually within 100 mile radius of a terminal, picking up and delivering loads.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers for instance will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.

Hello again, As stated in the title, I'm wondering if there are any carriers that offer CDL training? I've researched and applied for all the ones listed that I like but am not making much headway. So please if you know of any that haven't been added to the list let me know. Also, my top pick is Millis Transfer so any tips, recommendations, or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Have you called Millis yet? I went through their school and I was signed up for a class within a few hours of calling them.
