Maybe, a negligent driver severely hurt or killed one of his loved ones. No one knows a person's motivation, we always ask for clarification when someone comes in here being vague, to better help them out.
This could have been the beginning of a meaningful dialogue.
I don't know of anyone who wants to have a "meaningful dialogue" that starts it like this person does.

Wow, you sure have done an about face these days. This coming from the same guy who was on our watch list for about a year and had to have every comment manually approved because he never heard a statement he couldn't start a meaningless argument over. For quite a while you were one of the most difficult people to get along with and now you're telling us we should be more kind to people who go out of their way to tell strangers how much they're hated?
Either you've found God or you're on some awesome medications, eh?

Hahaha
Brett, you are very correct. While I didn't "find God." a lot of what you, and others said, helped me to try to be more mindful, and deliberate, in understanding other people. It's safe to say, that I am a better person, for it.
Old School, I agree. That email is not necessarily the beginning to a meaningful dialogue. It was a rather insane letter. Although, my first reaction, was if someone he loved, or knew was hurt or killed. That would explain his words.
A lot of my preconceived notions, before I got behind the wheel, were sometimes forcefully (tough loved) set straight. I couldn't be more thankful for it.
Didn't mean to surprise you like that, Brett. Hope I didn't give you a heart attack.

I did have to stop for a moment and think about it. I was like, "What the.....wait a minute.....did he just?......is he accusing us of?......omg.........."
You know what....I have been paying close attention to Danielsahn since he started driving and without meaning to sound condescending, im VERY proud of him. He truly did have to struggle with unrealistic expectations and face some realities, but ever since his post when he went solo and found and solved issues with his truck, i knew he was going to be great!!!
So...nice work!!!

Rainy,
Coming from you, that truly means a lot! Thank you.
I'm proud of everyone on here that starts from the ground up, finishes school, training, mentoring, heads out solo, and sticks with it for a year. Anyone that can do this, plus return here to pass along their knowledge, experiences and advice to those that may need it, will always be considered a success by me.

I agree with Rainy and I very much agree with this. I've had the privilege of watching tons and tons of people introduce themselves to us during their initial research and then follow them all the way until they had years of experience out there. It's very rare that anyone seems to have it easy. Everyone seems to have a pretty good list of struggles they endure that first year, especially those first few months.
One of the things I've always loved about trucking is that there's no faking it. If you've been out there turning big miles safely then you're the real deal. There's no such thing as a safe, productive driver who isn't really good at what they do. You can fake it as a white collar middle manager, you can fake it as a consultant, you can fake your way through a lot of jobs. But there's no fakin' it when you're travelling through the mountains, the snowstorms, and the big cities in an 80,000 pound building on wheels.
If you can survive that first year on the road and thrive as a truck driver then you've accomplished something to be proud of. If you go beyond that and have it in your heart to come back here and share your experiences with the people coming in behind you, then you're a real blessing.

My assessment on this: this is one of the typical 100% of 4 wheeler drivers that love doin stupid junk on the roads, or it could have been Kash or the original Patrick back to troll y'all. People like that lunatic really set me off in the worst ways possible. All I can say is I am glad it wasn't me he emailed. Hopefully Brett if he has attempted to get on this forum, you ban him permanently. 😁
