Hey guys, acquired my CDL learners permit yesterday. I have a question about Roehl if anyone can help. Can a new driver choose the 7 on 7 off or is this just for the more experienced drivers? I know money would not be as good but not my concern at this point. Thanks
Jody, The main factor of the 7/7 program is location. You’ll need to be close to one of the terminals so that you can swap seats with another driver.
Go to Roehl jobs and see if 7/7 is available under the inexperienced driver option. It will ask you for your zip plus your experience level. Once you get your cdl you will be considered inexperienced. The other option is to call your GYCDL recruiter and ask.
Good luck
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
